Well without further ado, the long wait is over! I’ll do less talking and let the flyers speak for themselves. I’ll tell you one thing: it felt so liberating to let my creative mind go crazy-go-nuts. Anywho, big thanks to the Dirty & ALAS crew for the support!

Blast from the past: ALAS Cultural Night 2008 flyer

While doing a little archiving of some old designs we made, I came across this flyer in particular. I’ve always made flyers for ALAS‘s flagship parties like Fright Night (held every October) & Cultural Night (held every May), and I’ve always been proud of the designs I do. Not only because I feel satisfied with the end-result from a artistic standpoint, but because our clients are satisfied equally as well, if not more.

This design however, from 2008, wasn’t and isn’t something I’d consider as a favorite of mines because I felt it lacked creative freedom and direction. Nevertheless, I feel that no design whether it’s done half-ass’ed or not, should go to waste. So here’s the flyer for your viewing pleasure (and yes, feel free to pont and laugh at some of the “beginner-like” nuances as far as design elements go).

p.s. we’re in the process of developing the flyer for ALAS Cultural Night 2009 and trust me, you WON’T be dissapointed!

(Disclaimer: I apologize if any of these musings look “limited” in creativity, and for those of you who know me well I love to go nuts whenever designing something. But, leave it to corporate poli-”tricks” to limit one’s free mind…of course I did my best to sneak in a workaround or two)

Well, looks like the “Thundering Herd” has become silent now that they’ve been eaten by the “BoA constrictor”. So while the memories of what was will fade away, I’ll might as well publish some of my graphical musings while working at ML.
